About The Event
Our first annual 5K Run/Walk will coincide with the inaugural Eastern Shore Music & Soul Food Festival. The Run/Walk will take place on Saturday morning and take participants from 6th Street in downtown Exmore to Willis Wharf along the waterfront and back.
ESTACI wants to make the Eastern Shore a destination for runners; this event seeks to draw people who are avid runners out of the Hampton Roads area to get away for a day or weekend and enjoy the slowed down pace and scenic tranquility the Eastern Shore has to offer.
The proceeds from the Run/Walk will go to help ESTACI further its mission to reduce the impact of poverty on the lives of Eastern Shore residents.
The Run/Walk will begin at 6th Street & Willis Wharf Road, where they will continue running until they turn right on Ballard Drive and continue, making another right on Seaside Road, followed by a left onto Willis Wharf Road which will carry them back into town and the finish line at 6th Street.
AWARDS - For adults, the top three female finishers and top three male finishers will win medals. Medals will also be awarded to the top finishers in youth categories: 10 & under, 11-15, 16-19.
